Act Now!
The Young Friends of the Earth Climate Project
“Act Now! The Young Friends of the Earth Climate Project” is an intensive climate campaign for young Europeans that are ready to help make 2009 the turn-around year of international climate politics.
Within the Act Now project, Young Friends of the Earth organizes regional conferences with the aim to educate young Europeans about climate politics and motivate them to take action for a fair and strong climate agreement at the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen in December 2009. Before then we need to be loud and clear to our politicians that it is our future and our planet that they are negotiating!
The conference will have the following elements:
# Education on climate change and international climate politics in the run up to Copenhagen
# Trainings on how to do climate street actions, do media work or climate presentations
# Exchange with politicians that are involved in climate politics
# Mobilization and concrete planning for the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen
